2015 Côte Bonneville
2015 was a hot year, producing bold, structured, fruit driven red wines. In addition to the heat, drought created intense flavors and strong tannins, reminiscent of 2005. Cherry and cassis, cinnamon and allspice, toasty oak, cocoa and cream all blend together in this concentrated, complex, flavorful vintage.
Decanting is recommended while young, but with an hour or two, the wine opens up and shows great depth. As with all years of Côte Bonneville, the sense of place shines through with distinctive aromatics, balance, and long finish.
