We are proud to introduce our 2022 Red Label Merlot, a truly special bottling that marks the first time we’ve showcased Merlot on its own. Crafted from the finest fruit in Washington state, this wine captures the exceptional character of a spectacular vintage. Exceptional purity of fruit, rich mouthfeel, silky tannins, and the long elegant finish make this bottling one you’ll want to enjoy again and again over the years.

Only the best vineyards deserve to stand alone.  It is rare to have a single lot that is complete in and of itself.  Within the standard of DuBrul Vineyard, it is notable to have one ton of fruit that is exceptional among its peers.  The short rows on the east end of the hillside Cabernet block shone brightly in 2013, and for only the fourth time, were bottled as a Red Label Cabernet.  To be deserving of this distinction, the wine must have fantastic concentration, purity of fruit, seamless integration, and a mesmerizing finish.  This vintage was warm but not too hot, creating richness, balance, complexity, structure, and finesse.  Late release provides some bottle development, and it will be exciting to taste as this continues to evolve over the coming decades.
